Tournament overview

Day One - Teams can arrive from midday, with the first kick-off at around 1.00pm.  Teams are arranged into groups of (usually) four and will play group matches through the afternoon and evening.  When not playing tournament matches the players have access to the England National team Futsal hall, a hydrotherapy session and downtime activities such as a games room. Evening meal is served in the Hilton Hotel restaurant prior to the final evening matches which take place under floodlight.  Finishing position in the group dictates whether your team progresses to the championship (8 teams) or plate competition (8 teams) on day two. There is a coaches meeting in the Crossbar once the teams are settled.

Day Two - it's an early start for some, but a Hilton Hotel cooked breakfast is a good incentive to get going!  First round matches begin at around 9.00am.  The competition enters the knock-out phases, in both the championship and plate sections.  All teams play the same amount of matches regardless of progress in the tournament and all teams finish with a 'medal match'.  Your tournament is never over until that very final whistle!  By lunchtime the final round of matches are decided and after a final visit to the Hilton Hotel restaurant the culminating matches commence.  All teams get to play one last time at this outstanding venue.  Departure after the final game is approximately 3.30pm.
